Hit The Head. Having Pain And Dizziness. MRI Report Is Normal. What Is This?

Came down a water slide 72 hours ago and hit back of head in one hard bump, tenderness and a bit woozy at the time, but pain has subsided until this morning when very painful to the touch. I am undergoing exams for dizziness at present have had normal MRI etc and it is being attributed to the neck area, but have continued dizziness and am unsure if the fall has aggravated neck problem or if the bump to head has done something. I have no other symptoms other than head pain (at the site) and the unsteadiness, which is how my dizziness manifests itself. I am aware that a bump to the head is a normal occurrence, but unsure how long symptoms can last.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
Your symptoms are suggestive of concussion. It is not a serious condition, but can lead to headache, neck pain and dizziness for a few days. It is self limiting and would subside on own.

For symptom relief, you may take betahistine to reduce dizziness and ibuprofen to reduce pain.

Normal MRI of brain is a good news and it rules out any serious internal brain injury.
I hope it helps. Please get back if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
