i used retin a between my legs to treat dark areas it was working for the first couple of days but recently the skin got really red and irritated i think it burned because it turned dark brown and its not pealing because i stopped retin a please help i am really sad because i made it way worse? what should i do should i reuse retin a to peel the brown skin?
Retin A should never be applied in the area between thighs. It contains tretinoin, which is an irritant.
I would suggest that you apply a moderately potent topical steroid cream e.g fluticasone propionate, twice daily for a few days to settle down the irritation.
Once irritation resolves, you may use a cream containing kojic acid as the skin lightening ingredient, for the dark patches
