Hi , Is there any medicinal Treatment available for the Blocked Artery 99 % for which the allopaths have advised an open heart surgery anf they say that this is the only option available for the problem. Kindly let me know as my uncle is in need at the earliest.
Hi, it must be the LAD artery of the heart as it is the most important artery and it is extremely difficult to try and stent a 99% blockage. It is also likely that the blockage would be in the distal part of the artery making it not amenable to Stenting or Angioplasty. In these scenarios Open heart surgery would be the only option Im afraid. I would advice you to get it done if he has chest pain or breathlessnes on exertion as he could land up with a heart attack if he already has not. Take care and feel free to ask any more queries by leaving a Direct or Specialist query. Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
