How Can Acute Cystic Acne On Cheeks And Chin Be Treated?
Yes! :) I took morning after pill about 5 days ago. Yesterday (the 4th day), I began to develop cystic acne on my chin and some random acne on cheeks and a few little ones on my neck. What would be the best way to help this heal? I've used the morning after pill before which was last summer and I had really really bad acne for months! very bad oozing cystic acne with rows on my jaw lines. I'ts not to that point this time, but I want to try to prevent from getting worse if at all possible. This is so horrible. Help! :)
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of acute cystic acne on cheeks and chin which is severest form of acne and it occurs when a pore in your skin gets clogged, usually with debris, bacteria and dead skin cells and causing area to be red and swollen. I would suggest you to exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant. You should wash your face using a clindamycin gel with mild soap and lukewarm water. Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore. If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe chemical peeling and laser therapy.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
