How Can Aortic Stenosis Be Treated?

Hello sir/madam my son is now 5 yrs old, at the age of 3 ,we find he is having aortic stenosis.but our doctor never explained to us.they said now ok maybe after 1 year need to follow up.so we thought it is not serious and havent go for follow up.last week he is admitted in the hospital for stomach flu their they find he is haviing aortic stenosis. we got appointment for cardialogist at the end of this month. i need ur guidence what to do further,is it so serious that never go for followup 2 yrs.what is the treatment and dos and dont s.what are the thing to note and ask our cardialogist?.kindly help

Hi,

The management of aortic stenosis depends on it's severity. In case it is not severe no treatment is needed, in such patients only follow up is advised and prevention of bacterial infections.
In case aortic stenosis is severe, surgery is the choice of the treatment.
