How Can Muscle Cramps With Twitching And Palpitations Be Reduced?
Hello my 34 year old son is on antipsychotics (for paranoid schizophrenia) - Abilify 10mg, and has worsening muscle cramps and twitching, he has experienced this in his chest recently and experienced a fast heart beat. He was given procylidine recently to help reduce the muscle spasms/twitching which happens in all muscle groups. We are concerned about his symptoms, as he can feel unwell. He is trying to convince the doctor it is not a hallucination but a physical sensation. His mental health is stable, but he is finding the side effects of the drugs distressing. We are seeing the GP again tomorrow.

if you are the patient of schizophrenia and still u have posted this means that u seem to be have good control
because u have a lot of insight
if still you have symptoms of schiz than consult psychiatrist not GP for better evaluation
abilify 10 mg is also good drug but u have required in higher doses for better control of your symptoms
