How Can The Joint Health Formula, Instaflex, Interact With Arthritis Medications?

Recently I was diagnosed with degenerative ostioarthritis and my L5 and S1 vertebrae are very close to being bone on bone. Consequently, I am in pain all of the time. My doctor prescribed the generic for Celebrex (starts with an M) 15 mg daily. I am also taking prescribed Dulera, Pro Air, Flonase (generic) and flexeril, On occasion I take Vicodin for pain. I also take calcium, Vit D, Magnesium, omega 3, Allergra 180mg. and a multi vitamin. My question is, could the ingredients found in Instaflex cause a bad reaction or lessen the effects of medication I take now.

Hello,

I have studied your case.

You can take instaflex, there will not be any reaction due to it.

Precaution to be taken for arthritis prevention
Activity modifications-avoid squatting, avoid cross leg sitting on floor, and reduce stair climbing.
Weight reduction is very important to prevent progression.
Do daily exercises and stretches.
Diet rich in calcium and vitaminD will help to reduce progression.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Vaibhav Gandhi's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

No instaflex will not reduce effect of other medication.

Usually nerve compression cant be seen on x ray you may need MRI for this.
There will be age related spondylitis but if there is any nerve compression then that may need specific treatment.

I will advise you to do MRI spine
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.

You may have good relief with physiotherapy like IFT [Interferential therapy] and TENS[Transcutaneous electrostimulation] along with ultrasound.
So if possible you can start that.

Also check your vit B12 and vit D3 in your blood.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
