How Common Is Extreme Swelling In The Leg And Feet After Broken Hip Surgery ?
How common is extreme swelling in the leg and feet of a hip that has just been operated on Broken hip 2 weeks ago, got surgery a few days after in which they placed pins to fix broken hip. Currently in kidney failure, heart transplant 23 years ago. Got stitches out yesterday, leg swelling occurred today, 2x the size. Hx of swollen feet/ankles, but never to this degree. Is this something that needs to be addressed immediately ( blood clot?), or will a call to the doctor tomorrow be ok?

Post-operative large swelling to such an extent with renal failure definitely needs an immediate attention to avoid bigger complications. You might be going towards a cardiac failure.
