My friend was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer 7 yrs ago, she's gone thru many chemo's and radiation, now she has a tumor on her rib cage. The Dr. said that the 10 and 11 ribs have to be cut in order to remove tumor, how does this effect her in the longrun? Thanks.
Hi. The most important thing is one's life. Removal of the ribs have not much adverse effect in a lone run. It is better to remove the tumor or secondaries to have a better life.
