Good evening Doctors,My name is Clark B. Llamera a graduating nursing student here from the Philippines.Can I ask a question can you tell how an scrotal abscess develops and how it causes cellulitis? I mean its pathophysiology?...Your answers well be much appreciated...Thank You

Thanks for query.
The scrotal abscess develops due to Staphylococcal infections of the hair follicles in scrotal skin (Folliculitis)or due to infection of the epididymis and testicles which in its turn is secondary to UTI.

It may result from the bacterial infection through blood born infection any where else in the body.

This is very common in person with Diabetes.
