How Early Should A Abscessed Tooth Be Treated Because Despite Penicillin Shots, Pain Has Increased And Have Developed Fever?
When should you go to a hospital over an abscessed tooth? I began taking penicillin today for infection as prescribed by a dentist. I have taken 3 doses. Recently, I developed more pain along with a substantial increase in swelling along with a fever which i did not previously have.

As you are mentioning that you are having abscess in a particular tooth, then there is no need to wait, you should start with antibiotics as well as root canal.
