How Long Can One Use Nasogastric Tube Due To Loss Of Appetite?
Hi, my mother was admit in the hospital for about a month and she now in our house continue to recover her illness. The diagnosis of the doctor are Morasmos, UTI and Anemia and she now inserted with nasogastric tube because she lost her appetite. How can we determine when to remove her nasogastric tube?

It is a clinical decision to remove nasogastric tube after satisfactory clinical data reporting. But for home assessment, one can evaluate, as the over all condition of the patient, throat muscle power to follow proper deglutition and other parameters.
