How Long Does Barium Follow Through Is Carried Out To Study Intestines?
I've had barium stuck in my intestines for two weeks and cant get it out, how do you get it. they want to do a catscan to see why im having so much stomach pain and vomiting but cant do it with the barium and Ive been in the hospital for two weeks and just want to figure out whats wrong?
The barium is just like anything else (e.g., food or liquid) that you ingest, and will pass in the normal amount of time that it takes for you to have a bowel movement. Usually, it will have passed completely in 2-3 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
