How long does Labynthitis last? I have been diagnose with Labyrnthitis for the last 10 days have had a blocked/stuffed right ear with almost-constant tinnitus/ringing in that ear. I had 2 episodes of vertigo, which lasted 2 hours each, but other than that dizziness is not bad. I have been on steroids for the last 10 days but I do not think it is working. Is there hope for this to go away soon?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ruptured ear drum caused by intake of amoxicillin. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infection in ear , any type growth or inflammatory condition . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist if its is not getting better . Doctor will examine with otoscope and order CT scan again to rule out other cause . Doctor may may prescribe anti inflammatory along with antibiotics at least for a week and antiemetic drug . For now apply dry warm compresses to external ear , take proper rest and keep your ear dry .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
