How Long Does It Take For Pinworm Medicine To Work ?
How long does it take for pinworm medicine to work? My husband has not shown any signs of improvement and it almost been two weeks since first does. I am concerned that it is not a pinworm, but rather some other parasite. He has pass white inch long worms (not moving- appear dead). He still has blood in his stool . However, he never had any inching in his rectal area. Could it be something else? What should he do if there is no improvement with medicine?
Thanks for your interest inHCM.Enterobias vermicularis also called Thread worm is a white small helminthic parasite which comes out of anus in the middle of the night and lays eggs around the anus, that's why it causes auto-infestation in the same person and also for all the family members it spreads through the contact of the linen as well as through respiratory tract and all the family members should be treated simultaneously at the same time and also the anthelminthic should be repeated to ensure different stages of the parasite is tackled to eradicate the infection along with the advice for improving personal hygiene and to prevent feco-oral infection and also auto-infestation.
