How Long Does The Symptoms Of Hyperthyroidism Take To Normalize?
Hi . I was tested and found I have hyperthyroid levels in the middle of May. On June 8 I was re-tested and my levels are back around the normal range so I am not being medicated for it. I still have may symptoms of hyperthyroid that Im dealing with like Anxiety, nervousness and shakes in my hands. My family doctor advised that it will take some times for my body to go back to normal. Is this true and do you know how long till I begin to feel better?
Hello, I read carefully your concerns. Usually the pathologies of the thyroid gland that causes over production or hyperthyroidism last for long and the treatment is recommended at least for 18 months. As i understood you stopp the treatment after two months but you should know that the hormones resulted to be normal under treatment. It means that you had found the right dose and should have continued with that. Once you stop it, everything gets back to the primary situation. So i would suggest to restart the treatment. Hope the information will help. Kind regards, Dr.Mirjeta
