How Long Should I Take Esperal 250mg?

hello i am BABU i had been using alcohol for the past 30 years now i had been subjected to treatment and i was prescribed to use ESPERAL 250mg .may i knw hw long to use this and what will be the side effect if i dont take it for a day or more.please help me out awaiting for your reply

Esperal is a deterrent agent. It used in maintenance phase of alcohol de addiction. If alcohol is used along with its use, it causes aversive reaction, which prevent patient from alcohol use.

Duration of its use vary patient to patient and depend on: Duration/severity of alcohol addiction and patient profile. Esperal can be used few months to few years under psychiatrist supervision. There is no worry if patient forget to use it for 1-2 days as its effect last for 1-2 weeks.
