How Should Mifepristone And Misoprostol Be Taken For Termination Of Pregnancy?
i am 25 years old, im 4'10" and 45 kg. i had pregnancy test done and revealed positive. My LMP was April 15,2011. I plan for abortion because im afraid my baby will have some defects if i continue my pregnancy because i was taking pills on and off and was expose to a lot of chemicals. Do i have to be fasting before taking mifepristone and misoprostol? and if so, for how many hours should i be fasting?

Yes you can use mifepristone and misoprostol for termination of pregnancy. But for successful abortion, it should be done under the supervision and guidance of gynecologist after checking the pregnancy in the uterine cavity by USG scan. Home use can cause excessive bleeding, incomplete abortion and abnormal development of pregnancy in failure.
Following are the method to use abortion pill:
Fasting is not required before using abortion pill.
Mifepristone 600 mg after food (orally) followed by 800 ug misoprostol vaginally by gynecologist/ Dose and schedule can be modified by gynecologist. Post abortion USG should be done after 14 days to confirm incomplete abortion.
Use safe sex practice in future.
