How Should Persistent Fever With Body Ache Be Treated?
i am having fever and body ache since last evening. the doctor prescribed topcef 200 (1 tab twice a day), zyncef - d (1 tab one time) and crocin(whenever fever is there)..i have taken the medicines as told. but not yet feeling good. fever is not goin at all..

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent fever with body ache which seems to be due to viral infection of body due to compromised immunity of your body and susceptibility of getting infected. Sometimes initially the infection is viral but with times secondary bacterial infection occur , which cause further complication. Need not to worry. You should take proper rest and muscle relaxants. do tepid sponging to lower down fever. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay. Doctor may prescribe anti viral ( acyclovir ) , anti bacterial penicillin, along with anti inflammatory medications . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test, and blood test to confirm the diagnosis . For now take steam twice a day to relieve the congestion. You should take proper rest.
