Hi my daughter last menstrual cycle was September 16. I would like to know how many weeks she has pregnant. The pregnancy test came out positive. Also, I would like to know how many weeks of pregnancy she has to have to make an ADN test. She is a teenager and her boyfriend said that is not his. I want to know
Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. Based on the LMP ( last menstrual period ) of September 16, she would be 13 weeks pregnant on 16th of December. The earliest test involving DNA paternity, can be done as early as 10 - 12 weeks. This involves chorionic villus sampling. AMniocentesis can be done from 16 - 18 weeks. Postnatal tests also can be done, these have the advantage of being non invasive. The antenatal ones are invasive. All the best. Take care.
