How Soon Will I Get Labor Pain Once Stopped Duvadilan And Susten?

I am advised to take duvadilan and susten 100 till 37 weeks since I got severe abdomen pain and my cervix is dilated to 1 cm and 40 % effaced(from 33rd week onwards)How soon I will get the labor pain once I stopped this medicines. I am due on 30th dec

Hi. You need to pull through 37 weeks of pregnancy to attain lung maturity of foetus. Duvadilan is a uterine relaxant and susten 100 is a micronised progesterone for maintaining pregnancy, and to prevent cervical dilatation, not of much role now. Once you stop these medicines, you may get pain lower abdomen or uterus becomes irritant again. Also labour may start even continuing these drugs. One thing which you can do now, anticipating early or premature labour is to get 2 shots of inj. Betnesol for lung maturity of fetus with the consultation of your dr.
