How To Avoid/reduce Stretch Mark Associated With Muscle Growth?

Hi, I'm an 18 year old starting a bodybuilding program to eventually compete in the sport. Is it normal to undergo quick muscular hypertrophic growth due to beginning a bodybuilding training regimen, and if so, how do you avoid and/or reduce stretch marks associated with the muscle growth without having to resort to not working out or eating all the calories my diet and supplementation require. I guess you probably wouldn't be able to help me fit into my shirts now that I'll need larger sizes, so I'll end it there. Thanks.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Stretch marks can develop if the skin is not allowed enough time to accommodate the increase in muscle size.

The best way to avoid it is to do so gradually so as to allow time for the skin to stretch gradually rather than rapidly which will cause tears in the dermis visible as stretch marks.

take care
regards
