You know that
diabetes can not be cured but fully controlled if a patient maintains 3'D's:Diet,Discipline and Drug properly.Diet and discipline solely depends on patient and I believe that you better know it.
Your target level for blood
glucose control should be less than 126 mg/dl for fasting and less than 180 mg/dl for 2 hours after breakfast.
If I were the treating physician ,I would advise you to do the following laboratory investigations first:
> Fasting and 2 hours after breakfast blood glucose
>
HbA1c ( to see control over few months)
Then I would emphasize on diet (diabetic diet) and discipline (timely food habit,regular physical activity etc) and finally may increase the dose of
insulin.
So I would suggest you to meet your local doctor and get the above investigations and finally adjust the dose.
