How To Control The Diabetes That Is Dependent On Insulin?

to Dr. Jeetendra Sharma I have started on Xarelto 15mg about 2 weeks ago. I have insulin dependent diabetes, age 67, in atrial flutter/AF. My blood sugars went from fairly regular 5-13 over some 20 years to 18-24 I am in Australia) and have stayed there. My Insulin has gone from humalog 10 units 2x daily and Lantus about 8-10 units 2x daily to 20 units and more of humalog with much less response than before and lantus about 12 units + (I used to get hypos on more Lantus, maybe not now, have not tried more). Nothing else has changed. I think the Xarelto is it. Ian Martin YYYY@YYYY

Dear sir

As per your query you are taking insulin. But you want to control sugars without insulin. Very well indeed

Firstly insulin is the most recommended in patients who does not respond to oral drugs. Who does not have adequate beta cells reserve in the body.

So it will not be an option to avoid insulin in these kind of patients. So it strongly recommended to continue treatment with insulin

Thanks
