How To Cure UTI As Symptoms Persist After Having Bactrim?
hi, I am a 37 year old female. Two weeks ago I was treated for a UTI because I had mild symptoms such as pressure and feeling as though I need to pee frequently. The urinanlysis showed that I did have bacteria and I was given a three day dose of Bactrum. THe symtoms did not seem to change so I went back a week later and was given Cipro---the symptoms again do not seem to diminish although they come and go and I just finished the 5 day dose today. It is very strange and getting very annoying. I have no other health issues and am only on birth control pills. What is my next step Any help you can offer would be great.
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have some urinary tract infection resistant to common antibiotics. You should go for urine routine and microscopic examination as well as culture and sensitivity testing. It will give you exact idea regarding antibiotic sensitivity. Then you should take treatment accordingly. Levofloxacin or norfloxacin are helpful. It is prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health
