Pediatrician, Infectious Diseases, Dr. Hema Yadav's Response
Hello
Welcome to Healthcare magic.
Any pain or infection in young infants may directly affect their feeding and growth. So first thing is to get it treated soon as per your pediatricians advice.he may have given you antibiotics, and some analgesic like paracetamol, which wil decrease the pain.If any external fissure is seen on anus, warm water soak or local analgesic like lignocaine may help.
Next thing is to breastfeed the baby on demand or as frequently as possible.always burp baby after feeds to prevent colic.maintain hygiene and avoid pacifiers.
Thanks
