How To Cure Stomach Pain Caused Due To Tear In Stomach Lining Along With Taking Acid Blocking Pills?

Hello, I have had bad stomach pains for over 2 weeks, I get really bad nausea, and sometimes vomit, and have had diaherra like poop. Now today I notice that my skin is red and blotchy all over my body. Do you know what might be wrong? I saw my doctor earlier this week and said I may have a tear in my stomach lining and gave me acid blocking pills to help and am on a bland diet. But I find the pills have stopped the vomiting but I still have the pain. Sometimes I get dizzy and have a headache. Is there anything to make me feel better?

Hi
Likely you are suffering from gastritis.
Can wait for few days, continue with the pill prescribed. If you do not feel better then worthwhile taking an endoscopy to look for the cause.
Headache if severe needs consultation with a neurologist since it is associated with vomiting. Can try taking paracetamol 500 mg (available over the counter) twice a day till that time as it is not hard on stomach.
