How To Cure Swelling In The Foot Due To Injury?

3 weeks ago i drooped a a 5lb weight on the top of my foot hitting my pinky toe. it swelled up and turned blue and red. I went for x rays that day that were negative but 3 weeks later its still swollen and sore. What could be the problem it doesnt seem to be healing?

Hello,

I think the wound might have been infected. As the accumulated blood has not been cleared, it might be finished up to infection.

Apply alternating warm and cold compresses during the day.
Apply triple antibiotic ointment on the nail bed.

Should keep your feet raised.

If no improvement within a few days should see your physician as might need excision.
