What Causes Pain And Colour Change On Injection Spot On Feet?

I got a Kenalog injection in my right foot 1 1/2 ago and now my tendons stick out and there is a dent in my foot near the injection site. went to doc who told me to get better sneakers and i did that but no better. it aches and the pain travels up to my ankle. injection site was on top of my foot under toe next to pinky toe. my foot sometimes turns a purpley color when i do too much for too long. what is this and will it go away?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It can be inflammatory response to injection, apply ice pack. Take over the counter painkillers if required, it usually settles on his own within few days.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jaideep Gaver, Orthopedic Surgeon
