How To Cure The Frequency And Urgency Of Urination Permanently?

I had a vaginal anterior sling and bladder lift in january. It is now June and I still have frequency and urgency. I have been referred to another Dr and am taking Toviaz, 8mg, long acting. It works fairly well for @4- 6 hours except for the dry mouth, dry eyes, (glaucoma, treated) and other unpleasant side effects. The rest of the time I still have the frequency and urgency and leakage. Suggestions please. I would like to have it surgically repaired rather than be on medication forever. I am 78 yrs old, female.

Hi
If toviaz is producing side effects then it is time to move to next line of trestment. However before that you will need some tests such as urine routine analysis, US KUB, pelvis and post void residual urine, cystoscopy and if these are normal then urodynamics with a view to considering botox injection into bladder. Meanwhile you could try a differnet tablets like solifenacin or detrusitol.
