How To Deal With High Triglycerides Found In Lab Tests?

I am 38 yr old female. 5'7" 170lbs. Just got my lab results. Labs were drawn after 12 hour fast

Glucose - 109

Triglycerides-240

HDL-44

VLDL-48

LDL-79

Total Cholesterol- 171

I am concerned with the high triglycerides. I had the same lab work 2 years ago and everything was within normal limits

Thanks for writing to HCM

You are suffering from hypertriglyceridemia.
Your condition can be managed by diet and life style changes.You don't need medicines in present state.
You should reduce your weight if you are overweight.
Take restriction of amount of carbohydrates and fat in the diet.
You should avoid red meat and high fat milk products.
Cook food in olive or canola oil.
You should take limited salt in your diet.
You should avoid alcohol and cigarettes if you take these things
Take lot of fruits and vegetables.You should also increase your physical activity in the form of walking and exercise.
