hi..Im 38 yr old weighing 53kg & my height is 5 2 . Im single. I want to gain 5kgs of weight in 1month. how can I increase my weight without any side effects? I hv high cholesterol level & my doc has asked me to avoid fatty food for 6 mths. nt on any medications. Im on Eltroxin 50mg for my hypothyroid problem. i get my periods regularly inspite of my ovarian cysts. pls help. Im planning to get married soon & my guy wants me to put on some weight. .
hi, I'm afraid, considering the fact that you have ovarian cysts (PCOD?), thyroid problem and high cholesterol, the idea of gaining weight is not a good one. At present, your BMI is 21, which is perfectly normal. Gaining 5 KGs of weight will make you overweight, and can worsen your metabolism and further complicate issues of fertility which is going to be important once you get married. My suggestion is: speak with your fiancee about your health issues and Convince him that your present weight is ideal and any effort to gain weight is against doctors suggestion for your own health.
