How To Get Decent Sleep After Stopping Amitriptyline Due To Counter Act With Tridunal?

hi I was prescribed with 200 mg. of tridural for bad neck pain and bad shoulder pain.i ahave been takeing amitriptyline for years because I suffer from insomnia. I am a shift worker for 37 years. I take 100 mg. about 2 hours before bed. it does work but not exactly the greatest.i was told by my doctor to stop takeing the amitriptyline, cause they counter act with each other. don t know how my sleep will be? need my sleep cause my job is very physical. I slug about 8 to 10 tons of steel in a eight hour period. can you suggest something to get some descent sleep. while I try the tridural for my pain.

Hello,
There are many drugs like- lorazepam 2mg or zolpidem 12.5mg, or quitiapine 25-100mg. Amongst them you will have to search which suits you best as you have been on.amitripatline for past seveal years.
Donot suddenly stop amitripatline atogether but try to gadually reduce it and add any one of the above med side by side.
