Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My other half is 51 and has just failed his ENG1 Medical to continue his job as a Marine Officer, explaining he has being told he has very very high blood pressure , will that mean an instant dismissal or will he be given another chance to reduce it before a re-take, I should also mention not knowing if this info. is relevant but he has a serious sleep problem where he doesn t sleep for days, if he does the max he would get in say 3 days is 1 hour, if he s lucky. What can I do to help him as I m worried sick now, as I don t know what will happen to him!!! Any help is gratefully appreciated!!!

hi welcome to health care magic,as you mentioned, your partner seems to be suffering from hypertension. As in ENG1 medical they see heart rate ,blood pressure and breathing test, urine test etc.
insomnia (sleeplessness) can also affect blood pressure. It needs to be evaluated.
you should consult a physician to assess and to treat the problem.
