How To Get Relief From Burning Mouth Syndrome? Some Relief With Lozenge, Elavil And Biotene Products

I have been suffering from Burning Mouth syndrome for over a year and cannot seem to find relief. I've tried all the Biotene products and nothing but the gum gives me a little relief. I am currently taking a lozenge that is a combination of 2 nerve drugs (names elude me at the moment) and a numbing medicine. No help. tried elavil and 1 other drug that helped really well for a while then I became immune to it and the dr said I couldn't go any higher with the dose. Any other ideas to find relief?

There are multiple causes for burning mouth syndromes like Diabetes, Sjogrens, drug reactions.

If you have any underlying cause, take treatment of it first.

Also have to take anti oxidants like superoxide dismutase (Tab Supakem)

Good nutritional suppliments.

You can also try these self-care tips to help ease the pain of burning mouth syndrome.

Sip water frequently.

Suck on ice chips.

Avoid irritating substances like hot, spicy foods; mouthwashes that contain
alcohol; and products high in acid, like citrus fruits and juices.

Chew sugarless gum.

Brush your teeth/dentures with baking soda and water.

Avoid alcohol and tobacco products.
