Hi ! I had gone through your question and i understand your concern .
I would say that in a patient like you with recurent bladder infection and having symptoms of
constipation you have to treat both cause constipation may cause
urinary tract infection (UTI). During the constipation the hard stools acuculate in the
rectum causing distension of the rectum in other hand rectum is closer to the bladder and the distension can compres the bladder back .This cause incomplete emptying of the bladder .Also constipation cause skin damage around anus so the bacteria (
E.Coli).of rectum can go easy to the bladder
Both Constipation and bladder infection cause adominal pain .
To do a quick fix for constipation you may take laxative such :
Metamucil,Citruel or others ( for this you need your doctor prescription.
I would give you some advice to treat constipation while you are taking medication for bladder infection
- Drink plenty of fluid , this will help constipation also urinay infection
-eat fibre rich food and a lot of fruit and vegetable
-Take the time you need in the bathroom .
To prevent bladder infection use cranberry juice, good hyigene, empty your bladder often .
