I have a blister by my anus. It has now come to a head on its own and burst. I thought it might have come from walking to work being that I'm over weight and chaff from time to time but it's extremely painful and hurts when I walk because it's between my buttocks. How can I make this go away or how long does it take to heal. What's wrong with me.? I don't have insurance or a primary care physician. Can u help?
Hello Thanks for the query to HCM. This blister ( as you mentioned in query ) may be due to . 1 Obesity there develops ingrown hairs infection and produces such type of abscess . Main reason of this type of abscess is usually streptococcus or staphylococcus bacteria . In such type of cases I usually prescribe cloxacillin 500 mg two times in day with aceclofinac 200 mg C R twice in day . Within 3-5 day you will get complete relief. 2 This blister as you mentioned in the query is very close to anus , so may be fissure in anus , in that case antibiotics as I mentioned will not act . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a surgeon. 3 This may be painful hemorrhoid so again diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a physician . If your painful blister is due to infection or ingrown hairs infection you will get complete relief as above mentioned in no 1 . 4 You are over weight so folliculitis is very common so diabetes may be the one reason , so at least get in blood for sugar examination. Good luck. Dr. HET
