Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am only 19 years old. I have been suffering with bladder infections for the past two months. Have gone through five courses of antibiotics and even IV antibiotics in hospital last month as it had progressed to pyelonephritis. Seen a urologist who has advised me to go on a six month course of antibiotics, as a last effort. But before I've even started the antibiotics, I am now experiencing what seems to be another bladder infection. Although this time, there is a very sharp constant pain in my lower abdomen shooting upwards and it feels tender to the touch. Not sure whether going on this new course of antibiotics is just continuing a vicious cycle.
