Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Arun's Response
Hello, Qasim, you have chronic HBV. Your test report is showing HBV DNA Negative. so you do not have active DNA in your blood which is notmeasurable. Your HbsAg antigen positive that shows you gone in chronic phase. HBeAg Negative means active DNA not Replicating. HbeAb Positive that is you have active antibodies against Hbe Antigen that will not allow Hbe to grow. HbcAb Positive means You have active antibodies against Core antigen. all your reports suggest that you are in chronic phase and do not have active replication. All my advice is that you should continue your treatment till you get HbsAb positive.
