How To Lose Weight And Lower BP ?

I need to lose about roughly 80lbs. I am overweight and have hbp. Its all about my health right now and I am still young. Doctor said that it will be easy for me since i am young and everything else regarding my health is ok, and that I wouldnt have anything to worry about once I drop these pounds. Any specifics.

Effective, natural weight loss basically comes down to two things - diet and exercise. Everything else you read will be a function of one or the other. Stay away from over the counter fat burners and diet pills. They are a waste of money at best, and dangerous at worst. The first thing you need to address are your eating habits. That doesn't mean cutting out fatty foods or desserts completely, but learning to eat them only once in a while and only in small quantities. The staples of your diet should be high fiber vegetables and lean meat and fish. You will also need to work on your activity level. If you have not worked out much or are out of shape, start out with ten minute walks or so, then work your way up to weight training and more intense cardio like running or biking. The key is to find ways to work these changes into your life in a way that you will be able to accept them and stick with them. Fad diets are not the answer, excessive exercise isn't the answer, and the same is true for anything drastic that you will not be able to live with. Look at this as a lifestyle change that you will stick with for the rest of your life.
