How To Treat A Diabetic Wound? What Diet Should Be Followed?

How to treat diabetic wound .its on toe finger of my father from one month.sugar is 150-160 fasting and till 250 pp.he has knee pain problem of which he cant do walk.takes gyclomet gp2 once. Can this b increased to twice to control sugar.what should b his diet.please suggest.

Dear sir

To treat diabetic wound, here are the following principles that needs to be followed.

1. Proper wound care
2. Selection of appropriate antibiotics
3. Mechanical offloading using foot wear
4. Changing to insulin rather than oral drugs

The important thing is to get the sugar levels under control, that can be done by using human insulins rather than oral medications.
