How To Treat A Painful Bruised Knee That Has A Dent On It?
Hi, about 9 weeks ago i tripped over a persons foot while running and fell on my knee on a hard wood floor. after about 4 weeks of a nasty bruise I thought it was healed but i was wrong. I know have a dent that is about an inch long on my knee cap. when i put pressure on it, i feel like my knee cap is splitting apart. What could this be?

You should get your x-ray of affected knee done in AP and Lateral view and x-ray of affected knee skyline view done. Send me report or discuss it with your doctor. Only then your diagnosis can be made.
It may be hairline fracture with soft tissue injury.
Till then apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.
Take acelofenac +serratiopeptidase by discussing it with your doctor.

The kind of symptoms that you are describing could very well be a fracture of India the knee cap (also known as patella)
Urgently get a Xray done and get it evaluated by an orthopedician .
Patella can be operated after 9 weeks also...although the results are not as good as a fresh injury operation.
