How To Treat A Sore Throat After A Saline Irrigation?
I used some saline irrigation for my sinuses and my throat started getting sore and swollen and clear looking-could i be allergic-when i swallow i just abt panic because it kinda feels like i won't be able to for awhile-I have had sore throat on and off for abt amonth but it is just periodically--Nervous and confused

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are suffering from sore throat after doing saline irrigation for sinuses which is possible f=due to allergic reaction. It could be due to filler or some other ingredient or impurity which could cause chocking sensation and soreness. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures
- Avoid intake of any cold carbonated drinks.
- Avoid smoke, oily and frioed food.
- Drink luke warm water throughout the day as it can provide relief.
- You should take steam inhalation.
- Drink plenty of water and liquids to prevent dehydration.
You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin along with Anti-inflammatory drug. Visit ENT specialist if symptoms keeps on persisting and get proper examination done and start treatment. Maintain oral hygiene.
