Hello,

You have a history of radiculopathy, vein reflux and now you are having pain in the legs, knee and back. It is the lumbar spinal nerve root compression that is causing you pain and discomfort. It is treated with a combination of physical therapy, activity modulation, exercises to help stabilize the spine and make more space for the spinal root nerves. It should be combined with medicines like analgesics to reduce pain and NSAIDS to reduce swelling and redness.

Sometimes, the treating doctor may suggest surgery if other things don't work. However, since you are felling pins and needles sensation, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP / Neurologist and get NCV tests, nerve biopsy, blood tests (to rule out OA, RA, etc) and imaging (CT / MRI, etc) to detect any developing peripheral artery disease. For ease pain in the ribs you can take antacids and PPI's, in case it is due to acid reflux you will get relieve.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
