Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
The fact remains that you can change from
lantus to long acting plain
insulin. This should be able to help you control your sugars at much less cost. There is no point in skipping medicine for cost reasons when the alternatives are present.
And if the last insulin is not good, you might as well change the insulin.
However I wish to know how you keep your insulin cool. It has to be kept in the refrigerator door, to maintain the potency. The insulin gets denatured in heat.
Also, for your
chest pain, I will suggest an EKG. This is the basic minimum needed.
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.
I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.
