Hello. Doctor, my mom was operated 3 mnths back for a calcified cyst in her L4-5 spine. Before surgery she had radiating pain in her left leg. But now after 3 months she is complaining of back pain radiating to her right. As per doctor's advice ee repeated MRI which is normal. So Hey is the pain and what can we do now?
Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that your mother is suffering from chronic backache which may be due to lumbar spondylosis. Rest in position of relief, Cartisafe D once daily, NUROKIND GOLD ONCE DAILY and analgesics (DICLOFENAC 100 MG SLOW RELEASE TABLETS) give relief. Sometimes vitamin D deficiency can aggravate this so serum vitamin D test is advised if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required. Avoid long continuous standing. Sit in a straight posture. Eat milk, fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. You have have already done MRI TO RULE OUT other causes. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
