How To Treat Belching,stomach Upset And Bloating?

My wife is belching a nasty rotten egg smell lately. She is on meds for diabetes and recently sivistatin? for high cholesterol. Apparently the Sivistantin? can cause this sometimes? She has some other symptoms also, upset stomach, bloating... Caused by bile in stomach?

Some of the anti diabetic drugs like metformin and voglibose which have gastrointestinal side effects
