Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, for the past couple of days I am having fever, with headache and body pain. First day I had throat pain. I have been taking crocin pain relief couple of days.Morning time there is less temperature, but in evening especially in night the temperature rises a bit I have this feverish feeling. Please let me know what is this.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to upper respiratory tract infection(most probably viral infection) Crocin pain relief will only provide symptomatic relief from fever. The throat pain and associated symptoms also needs to be taken care of. The management consists of: 1. Drinking of warm fluids to reduce throat pain 2. Antihistamines to provide symptomatic relief from cold & cough 3. A course of antibiotic to prevent secondary bacterial infection
If symptoms still persist...it will be better to consult an ENT specialist. Meanwhile...avoid taking cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods. Wish you good health & a speedy recovery. Take care.
