doctor i am taking a 100mg tab for hypothyrodims for the last 5 years, so i would like to know about how i have to take this medicine? and is there is any solution for stop this medicine? is there is any exercise for stimulate the thyroid hormone without medicine, please clarify.
Hello, Good day. Most often, hypothyroidism is permanent and you may need lifelong treatment. It is a safe medicine and you will have to take the medicine in empty stomach in the morning. You may do an ANTI TPO level. If that is negative, you may stop the medicine for 6 weeks and recheck TSH and Free T4. At that time, if you have rise in TSH , please restart the medicine and then it is better not to stop. If the anti TPO is strongly positive, do not stop medicine
I dont think exercise will have great impact on thyroid function. Regards Binu
