How To Treat Pain And Swelling Of The Nose Bridge?
I slipped and my forehead hit on the wall 2 days ago. There was swelling on my forehead but now no more swelling. And now I find swelling on my nose bridge. Please suggest what should be done now. I still have pain on my forehead and slight pain on the bridge of my nose.

Hi. It is possible that this is either a haematoma (bruising) from a soft tissue injury, or else a nasal bone fracture (broken nose). It would depend on the extent of the nasal deformity as to whether you need any further medical input. It needs to be re-assessed 5 days following the injury. If there is still significant nasal deformity/deviation, then you will need to see an ENT specialist. If the swelling has significantly improved and you are no longer concerned then you do not need any further medical input. A possible broken nose does not require any XRays. It just needs a decision made as to whether the degree of deformity would merit an operation to fix - even if it is broken, many people do not need surgery.
